I can't believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone and we are now fully into the Holiday season. Tonight Mr P will set up my Christmas tree. It's fake, I know you traditionalists are rolling your eyes. Well, It's simple. I am allergic. The real tress give me this awful rash when I touch them, I sneeze and blow my nose the whole time it's in my house. Plus I am not cutting down a tree and spending money every year. So for us it's a win win.
Someday when we have a bigger home, I'll get a real one and wear gloves when I decorate it. :)
Mr. P and I have had many " discussions " about the tree. Only for him to realize that I was going to do it my way! I despise lights that blink, or colored lights on a tree. I like plain ol white lights. This was a huge issue: ) Outside lights? We actually agree!
I like all my stuff to at least match in some way, not a fan of willy nilly trees. This I blame on my MOM, her tree is a masterpiece, and is up from before T-day, until way after Christmas. I love the "WOW" factor when we have Christmas at our house. I have so so so much to do in the next three weeks! My weekends are going to be FULL. I have to paint the bathroom, wash the walls, clean my office, the fridge, etc.. etcc... and still SHOP! I'm getting tired just thinking aboutit!

I can't wait to see your pictures! I don't have any vivid memories of your home at Christmastime while we were all kids. I would love to see your mother's wonderful trees! Does she have a theme? Does your tree have a theme? I have mainly vintage ornaments in bright colors. We have the tree up now and I will decorate it tomorrow.

I have a " color" theme. Some day I will have alot of vintage ornaments, and even some " bubble lights" for fun.
BUt it's mostly Blu, Gold, and ivory all over. Those colors are no where else in my house except my tree!I just gush over it when I'm finished. My Mom's is ALL pink, burgandy and white. 9 feet tall and over 100 lights. Its CRAZY!
We're soooo alike....I've got the fake tree and only white lights (non-blinking of course). Everything in my house is decorated ivory, blue, and white...because everything has snowmen on it! I do this because I want to decorate for WINTER, and not just Christmas!!!! This way I can keep it up until mid-January. I do it in the FALL to. I decorate for FALL and can leave it up from October to November! I'd like to think of it as smart thinking...but in reality it's so I don't have to put up and take down decorations every month! =)
And I love the new facility you and star are in. Can't wait to see more pictures.
