I'm changing my name

Over the years with a name like Jocelyn, I have heard every pronunciation, nicknames and odd interpretations of my name.

Phonetically is goes like this

Jos - A- lynn or Jos Lynn , however you like to emphasize the syllables.

not JOZ a Lynn
or JAWS lin
or Josh a Lynn
or JoyceLin
or Jacklin
or Jozze lynn

The Joz A Lynn particularly irritates my friends Terra and BBFF :)

Today a vendor called my Office and asked for me
Josie Pine, while it's not even CLOSE to my name. I'm taking it.

Josie Pine can not really be interpreted in any other way. Like Kim Smith, Jane Clark i.e.
Simple to the point and easy to pronounce.

So I am now henceforth known as Josie Pine...

Hahahaha - I know how you feel. BUT, my name is Jenny. For some odd reason, people call me: Penny, Denny and Danny more than Jenny. I annunciate, I speak slowly, but it never fails.

Good luck with the new name!!

Hey Josie Pine! I love your name. My birth name was Josie, but mom did not like it, and so my Aunt came up with JODY. Yes I have been called Judy many times! LOL

Well hello Josie Pine! LOL! I have a thing about my name too. I consistently get asked what my "REAL" name is! When I tell them it is my real name, they look at me like I'm crazy. Plus I get all kinds of interpretations of it since it is different.

I get a lot of weird things too--and hell, my name only has one frigging syllable. I get Peggy, Pacey, Piggy--that gets on my nerves
