I think I'm going to sell her

Nothing confirmed as of yet, I haven't put her on Dreamhorse, Craigslist or on the curb with a sign around her neck.

I am seriously considering taking a break from horses.

My horseie dreams are not working out like I had ultimately wanted them to, with goals and life changing events have prevented me from getting to that Brass Ring.

So, if anyone is interested in a real pretty Pinto Mare.. Let me know.

Perfect home only ;)

I hope everything works out for both you and your horse.

My only advice is to think many times before saying "good-bye". I learned the hard way.

Wishing you the best.

I'velearned the hard way once before as well. So I know how hard it is!

Sounds like you are in a similar place as I am. I have actually listed my mare for sale, though. It's a tough thing to do, that's for sure.
Fortunately for my mare, though, this is not a horse seller's market and I'm not desperate to sell her (yet).
I've had a couple nibbles so far, but nothing serious. I'm even considered leasing her out, so at least she'll pay for her own food and care.

At this point I just don't think I'll ever be able to trust my mare again...or feel safe around her. I'm not willing to give her the opportunity to hurt me again. What do they say?...'Three Strikes and you're out"
I love horses and always will, but I can't let them destroy my quality of life either. I have many other interests beyond horse. (I know....can you believe I said that? lol!)

Well, if you sell Mz Bling Bling Princess...maybe you can get a llama, too? We can go on pack trips together. LOL! :)

Whatever you decide to do, I know you'll do what is right for you and your mare.

JP, you'll know. You'll just *know*. Not many people would, but I really think you will, if the time is right to find your pretty girl a home or not.

Chin up, breathe deep, and listen to your gut ;)

BREATHE in and out deeply...it will all be okay. In your heart, if you know this is what you are supposed to be doing, it's OK. No, I didn't get the Jag...and I totally think that we (you, me and that other cowgirl chica) should take that trip we keep talking about and let the world keep turning...

Well keep thinking about it okay? Make sure it's not something else making things feel not right.

In the mean time - like me - just keep looking for that perfect home.

The market just sucks right now.
