Nicotine Deprivation and Drill Practice bad combo

Let me preface first:

JP bought a new to me used barrel racing saddle. Sold a saddle bought a new one. SCORE.
Made a special trip out to BFE to pick it up yesterday to have for tonight's Drill Practice.

So I get to barn, stoked, ready to roll, tack up and walk out to the arena and ...............
My jaw drops open.
All the Parelli stuff is still in the arena including the horse trailer. WTF?

Yeah tonight was Parelli/NH/Play date night. BARF...........
needless to say, I didn't get any real work/riding done and just untacked. I wanted a smoke in the worst way I was so irritated. bad................

We even played with the PP Ball. She'll bump it with her head if I say " get it, get it".
She wanted to do every obstacle, she was DYING to get in the trailer, could barely wait her turn.
So I let her go in and come out twice and moved on. I wonder where she thought we were going to go? Not to Gramma's or the Feed Store that's for sure.

So I decide as long as I'm out here, might as well work with Sis and the " sack on a stick from hell" I have zero patience,so Della the BO traded me and she worked with her.
So that was a positive. Craig Cameron said you have to rope break your horse, so as soon as the round pen goes back up I will do that next. I think I might buy his DVD as a reference tool.

It just makes sense she needs to be broke to a rope around her foot and not panic. I am not a PP hater, but nor a kool aid drinker either. I prefer saddle work over walking over tarps and logs.

Next week? COWS....
I think I might die of sheer terror. I'm going to want a smoke then too.... This is tough stuff this no smoking.

Wooohooo! Girlfriend, you go girl. You can do it. Temptation is a B*tch, but you're strong and tough!

I kinda like the working over poles and stuff. I'd love to do trail challenge with my mare in the future. I hope to build some props for her to work through to desensitize her and communicate better what I want her to do.

I'm not sure what to think of PP yet. I've heard so much negative stuff, and the folks that love it seem a little obsessively cult like at times. I've never been a sheep, so I don't see me falling on that side, but someone is going to give me some PP videos so I may at least try and see what happens.

If anything I can at least say I have first hand experience with it and understand what all the hooplah is about.

I'm actually looking even more forward to this same person giving me some Clinton Anderson videos. I have a feeling that'll be more my style :)

I board at a PP barn, so the crap is ALWAYS in the arena. You can even do laps becasue all of the shit is everywhere. Makes me crazy.

Is it in the arena because someone is in there using it? Or is it in the arena because they used it and then left it there? Hang in there with the not smoking. It will get better.

Your STILL not smoking?
You can come sit by me and I'll smoke for the both of us.

I don't know what most of that stuff means, but I do know what a cow is!
Have fun and good luck :)

Lisa: I hate crap in arenas, it is a major peeve. If I ever win Lottery the NH crap will be in different covered area with the round pen. :)

Wife: Hell No on the moo cows. BUt in order to save face in front of everyone I will do it anyway. I'm tough like that

Wilsonc: The crap is in there 24/7. I spend my first few minutes clearing it all.....

Marilyn: If I make it not smoking, it will be a miracle.

jp2: BFE? right next door to Hells Half Acre.
