lots of small things make a big thing

I let the boys got to Pendleton Round up by themselves. Long story but I needed some quiet time like NOW. With Shawn's Sleep Apnea surgery and painful recovery, The sudden and unexpected death of his Mom and then Shawn getting nasty case of MRSA. I needed to sit quietly and chiil-lax at home.. ALONE...

They'll be back today, but I have the guest room project to get underway anyway.

I had no desire to go this year which I think threw Shawn for a loop, I love going, but this year... well.... being home alone sounded better.

I'm on the fence about selling Star again, another long story, Star isn't the type of horse that has the In it to win it attitude. To do competitive trail and LD endurance she needs to at least be brave enough to go first. She is happy being LAST. My Mare Blu, you never found her last she was always way upfront and doing her pimp strut that no horse could even think about keeping up with. Maybe a TWH, but it would be difficult. Star? She'll get there when she gets there.

I like a brave horse, mellow and brave are not the same thing, Star is mellow but not brave and certainly NOT competitive. She was born to be a show glamour pony. She likes to go to shows.
They don't have goats there.

well, tomorrow I will post after pics of the guest room transformation. The paint may be to LEMON-Y, so we'll have to see if it works!

Sounds like you're deserving of some quiet, alone time. Soak it up. Wow. Baby Doll and Star must be related. That is the exact same attitude that Baby Doll has. She loves to follow along at her own pace, annoying anyone we ride with because she's so slow and just mosies along. She gets grouchy if told to 'get a move on' and is prone to mini-bucks and crow-hops if pushed too fast or far when she's not in the mood. lol!

She's also not very brave, either, though she's the type that keeps herself together most of time and then wham, when you're least expecting something to spook her, she pulls a 180 spin or a flipped out teleportation from 0-6'. Not fun.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Oh...and I don't like yellow walls in a bedroom. Makes it too 'cheery and bright' to sleep. For the bedroom: Any color but yellow, red, and bright green.
Maybe your yellow will be very soft and pale, though.

I might sleep there...if you make me cupcakes. Can you leave them on my pillow? I promise not to leave crumbs.

PENDLETON ROUND UP! Wow that is 30 miles from me! LOL We have actually only been one time to the rodeo and that was 2 years ago. To many people for me. If I could find a nice quiet corner and just watch all the people I would enjoy that! LOL Can't wait to see the pictures!

Well...that explains why I didn't see you there! I was looking for you...not that I'd actually find you in the thousands of people...but I was thinking of you.

Hope your quiet stay at home was healing to your soul.
