EJECT ! EJECT !

Today I decided to wear spurs to remind Star that the HELL NO AND SPIN was unacceptable when we are working cows. She started to pop up and spin and I goosed her to say
" Move forward right now or else"

Her opinion on the spurs was EJECT!

I did a masterfully formed tuck and roll and I think she clipped my elbow with her foot on my way down. She stopped in the corner and was literally shaking. She was expecting a good A$$ beating . Not saying I didn't call her a name or two ...

So after I landed face first in the dirt, I got right back up, pulled up my big girl pants, spit out some sand, got my wind back and then I removed the spurs and made her work cows like a nice pony should. After about 20 minutes I realized I had really hurt myself and needed to go home. I thought my elbow was broken for sure.

Needless to say the only thing hurt today was my pride.

DAD: Don't freak out Star didnt get a beating and she isnt going to the meat packers anytime soon.

Jocelyn, I'm so sorry!!!! I'm glad you are not truly hurt and can still walk. This looks so frightening to me seeing you in a neck brace (thoughts of Christopher Reeve). I hope you are not too sore tomorrow. Bless you Sweetie. Kathi

Oh you look awful in that picture!! When I first saw it, my life flashed back to last Christmas. Yes, it will be a year since my own horrible fall!
I just am so relieved that you're ok. I bet you're gonna feel like you've been in a auto accident for a few days, though. I'm glad you're just sore, though, and nothing was broken, ripped, or required surgery. whew.....

You know, you're not giving me much courage to get back up in the saddle this week, right? gah!

I'm glad you are not broken. Take it easy and be good to yourself. We live to ride another day.

Dude- we are getting too old to be Dirt Darts. Take care, take ibuprofen, hit a hot tub, and move easy for a few days ;)

So, like, we don't need to set up a parachute fund, right?

Well! You sure taught Star a thing or two this weekend, didn't you? I'm sorry you got bucked off Jocelyn, but I think this is funny! Really I'm sorry b/c it's not funny. You could have been seriously hurt. Maybe it's b/c you didn't get hurt that I think it's funny. I'm warped, I know. I hope you're feeling better today.

Isn't it amazing how our bodies protect us from the initial pain when we get hurt. I imagine you were experiencing a bit of shock or you would have known how badly you'd been hurt right away. That happened when I broke my collar bone, and it took about 30 to 40 minutes for the rel pain to kick in. Glad your not seriously hurt and kudos for getting right back on! Way to cowgirl up!

Oh my, did you go to the emergency room? Poor thing! I'll bet you'll be sore even if nothing is seriously hurt.

I guess now that you know where the eject button is (and that it's activated with spurs) you'll be perfectly safe.

Yikes!

Glad you weren't badly injured and that you got right back on. You're an inspiration!
